Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, the driver must be at least 25 years old.

You will need a valid drivers license and your passport. For EU and Schengen countries, identity cards are also accepted. 

No, you will need a valid EU or International driving license held for at least 1 year. For non EU countries you will need an international driving license as stated in the Vienna Convention on Road Traffic or a national driving license accompanied with an IDP (international driving permit) booklet. Learners permits etc will not be accepted. The renter must present his driving license in physical form upon car delivery, failing to do so will automatically cancel the reservation and no refunds will be given.

The car must be returned with the same amount of fuel as received. The amount will be stated on the contract. Failing to do so,  the renter must pay the difference in fuel depending on the current rate. Excess fuel will not be refunded. There is no refueling fee.

No, the only restriction is that the rental car cannot leave the island of Corfu

There is only a cleaning fee if the car has been returned in a very bad condition. For example sunscreen on the seats or bad smells resulted from smoking in the car.

No credit card is needed, you can pay by debit card, virtual card, bank transfer or cash.

With every rental you have personal accident insurance , third party insurance and Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) with an excess. The excess is either 500€ or 700€ depending on the category of the rented car.

 

A Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is additional protection that reduces your liability for damage if your hire car has been in an accident. Excess or deductible is the amount of your financial obligation if the vehicle is damaged in a collision. *Terms and conditions* apply.

Full insurance is a very vague term car rental agents use to keep your mind at ease and don't look further in their insurance policies . We want to be 100% honest with you upfront so there is no stress and misunderstandings.

Yes, you have an option to buy a C.D.W with a reduced excess.

ELECTRIC FAQ

At the moment only the Hyundai Kona electric 39kWh. We intend to increase our electric fleet in the future doing our part to reduce our carbon footprint. 

The Hyundai Kona 39kWh has a range of 305 km WLTP. Economic driving, no Air Conditioning and full regenerative braking system can increase the range to 380 km. Normal driving with mild regenerative braking and air conditioning is estimated at 300 km.

 

We provide free unlimited charges at our office charger in Messonghi. You will also be provided with cables so you have the option to charge at any charging station on the island at your own cost. Support and advice will be provided whenever needed. 

The Hyundai Kona Electric has an on board 11kWh AC charger and a 100kWh DC charger. Our office charger is a 11kWh AC, meaning it will fully charge the batteries in just under 4 hours. 

The range is more than enough to trip around the island. However it's always good to plan ahead and make sure you have a full battery at the start of your trip. Support and advice will be provided whenever needed.

The renter is responsible for the planning of their trips and battery charging. Any costs of towing due to a depleted battery will be covered by the renter.
